So you're not getting what you want done...
Have you thought about your habits and how they may be affecting your results?
From the moment we wake up we are constantly engaging in habits. Whether it's making the bed, brewing a coffee, going for a jog. We cannot escape habits.
Habits are our brains way making us efficient at what we do on a regular basis. Making the bed for example, if we do it enough times consistently, our brain will program this action into our daily functions. We don't even need to think about it, we just do it. Obviously not everyone makes the bed, but that's beside the point.
Unfortunately, not all habits help you in the long run.
Scrolling through your newsfeed, binge watching your favorite TV show. Unless you're paid to test the newsfeed or you're a professional TV critic, these actions are probably not helping you.
Fortunately habits can be broken.
And then replaced.
We must first allow ourselves to become aware of our habits. Identifying habits is quite simple if we take a step back from our actions and ask "why am I doing this?", "is this action bringing me closer to where I want to be?".
If there is not a compelling WHY, and it's not bringing you closer to success, then why keep doing it?
Find new habits to replace the old ones that just aren't working for you. Whether it's waking up an hour earlier, giving up coffee, reading for an hour every day or watching a tutorial on something you're passionate about. Commit to the new habit and constantly re-evaluate your actions.
Commit to the process, not the end goal and you will become more efficient than you've ever been before.
